Abstract submission
Abstract submission has been closed. Thank you very much for all your papers!
Important Dates:
Notification of abstract acceptance: End of April
Please note following guidelines and regulations for the abstract submission:
- With the submission the copyright of the abstract will be transferred to the 15th European Carbohydrate Symposium.
- The amount of abstracts per presenting author is limited to two. Abstracts exceeding this limitation will NOT be accepted.
- The format requirements are to be strictly followed. Abstracts which do not comply with these will NOT be accepted. You will be sent all formatting guidelines together with the abstract template as soon as you have completed the first steps of the online submission.
(To download an abstract example please click here: PDF) - Authors will be able to upload a new version of the abstract at any time before the deadline. After this date alterations are no longer possible.
- After the submission deadline all abstracts will be forwarded to the scientific committee to be evaluated. As soon as this reviewing process has been completed the authors will be informed about the acceptance / refusal of their abstracts as well as about the chosen presentation type (oral / poster).
- Abstracts will be approved according to their scientific/clinical merit and should be based on previously unpublished data. Abstracts must be submitted in English only. Submission of an abstract constitutes a commitment by the author(s) to present at the Symposium if accepted. Abstract acceptance and programme scheduling will be communicated to the corresponding author’s e-mail address. Hard copies of abstracts will not be accepted.
- Authors can suggest posters or oral presentations. The final decision, however, will be taken by the Scientific Committee once all abstracts have been assessed. This procedure is necessary for an efficient Abstract Handling. We kindly ask for your understanding.
Abstracts may be submitted under the following main topics:
- Chemical and Enzymatic Synthesis
- New Tools and Methods in Structural Analysis
- Glycobiology and Glycomedicine
